Audley Sunningdale Park, the luxury retirement village near Ascot in Berkshire, has held its official opening
The ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for the Royal County of Berkshire, Andrew Try, and Nick Sanderson CEO at Audley Group.
The event welcomed a variety guests including current and prospective home owners, members of the local community and Audley Group team.
Guests enjoyed a drinks reception, speeches from Andrew Try and Nick Sanderson as well as a tour of the village.
The celebrations were followed by a delicious lunch at the village.
Audley Sunningdale Park is home to 105 luxury apartments and cottages for the over 60s.
The village is set within the grounds of Sunningdale Park, spanning 79 acres of gardens, lakes and extensive natural woodland.
The centrepiece is Northcote House, a restored Grade II listed neo-Georgian mansion which houses apartments, Kempton’s bar and restaurant, the library, and Audley Club’s luxury health and wellness spa with a gym and swimming pool.
The village welcomed its first property owners in 2023 and while the celebrations marked the official opening, for some owners it was also a chance to celebrate a year of living at Audley Sunningdale Park and enjoying all it has to offer from regular coffee mornings, exercise classes, through to flower arranging and photography workshops, and art groups.
“Our very first owners moved in over a year ago at Sunningdale Park, so it was a real pleasure to host both the official opening and mark this milestone with them,” said Nick Sanderson.
“It truly is a stunning village in a beautiful setting. We’re very proud of the work to restore the main house, safeguard its future and give the building a new lease of life as a retirement village.
“It also supports our mission to provide the properties, and facilities, that enable more people to live long, independent and healthy lives. We look forward to continuing to welcome property owners and those in the local community to the village.”
