Retirees in Cumbria’s Eden Valley feel the love at Valentine’s Day music event

Retirees at Churchill Retirement Living’s Dutton Lodge development in Penrith celebrated Valentine’s Day with an afternoon of musical entertainment to give everyone the chance to sing, dance, socialise and share the love this week.

On Tuesday 14 February the development’s Owners’ Lounge was packed for the performance by Penrith pianist Norman Booth, who played a variety of tunes to get people on their feet.

Churchill provided refreshments, with sales executive Lesley Robertson keeping glasses topped up and lodge manager Adam Walton leading the way on the dance floor.

Area sales manager Lisa Obertelli said: “We were delighted to welcome everyone to Dutton Lodge’s impromptu Valentine’s Day music event, and we’d like to say a big thankyou to Norman for his wonderful performance.

“It was the Owners’ idea to ‘share the love’ by holding this event on Valentine’s Day, and it made the perfect opportunity for people to come together at the Lodge and enjoy each other’s company.

“Events like this are a big part of the fun and sociable lifestyle that comes with a brand new Churchill apartment.”

Dutton Lodge is close to shops and amenities in Cumbria’s Penrith and perfectly located for local transport links.

The lodge has everything anyone over the age of 60 could want, including a warm, comfortable Owners’ Lounge where regular social events like this can take place.
